Boxed set
Bartholomew's "Half inch to mile" map of England and Wales
A set of 37 sheets, from around 1911-12, dissected and mounted on cloth, in a purpose made leather case.

Overall, a nice bright set, with many maps appearing unused; most are very nice.
Four sheets (1, 12, 13 and 25) have light stains to one cover surface. Sheet 15, Norfolk has been very well used. Seven other southern sheets have had more use than most sheets but are still in a very nice condition.
Overall, the set is in very nice, above average condition.

The leather case is in good condition, with the original stitching and both locks working. There is a small split in one corner of the lid and a slight stain. Both keys are present but the map measuring wheel is lacking.

Set 2 (1917-20)
A set of 37 sheets, mostly dating from around 1917-20, dissected and mounted on cloth, in pale blue Edward Stanford covers.

Most sheets are in at least good clean condition, some little used. Sheets 8 and 12 (Liverpool and Manchester, and Cheshire) have had far more use than any other sheet but are not tatty. Sheets 23 and 33 are lacking from the set, but have replacements in dark blue covers and maps dated around 1911-12. Sheet 23 (Hereford) is well used, slightly grubby but quite sound, whilst sheet 33 (New Forest and Isle of Wight) is in good sound used condition. An extra sheet 12 from around 1912 in dark blue covers is included.
