Civil Aviation maps in blue and cream decorative Ellis Martin covers showing a De Havilland Hound over a blue landscape. Quarter-inch scale, with air information symbols such as aerodromes, seaplane mooring areas, prohibited flying areas, beacons shown in red.
Maps appear in two styles of cover. The original small covers have only the blue view design. The long covers have the same picture reduced in size, index diagrams above and below the picture and an index map on the rear cover.

The maps appear in two styles, one with brown layering and the other with purple layering showing relief.

Small covers : brown layers

Sheet 1, The Border, air information correct to 1939, 7220/38. Dissected on cloth in plain brown OS covers, in very nice bright condition, £16.

Sheet 2, England, North-West, air information correct to December 1929, 2550/30. Map and cover in excellent, bright, clean condition, £40.

Sheet 2, England, North-West, air information correct to December 1929, 2550/30. Map is nice and bright, cover good clean condition, £32.

Sheet 4, North Wales, air information correct to April 1930, 2550/30. Map is good, ever so slight marks over sea area and one pencil line, cover good, £30.

Sheet 5, Midlands (North), air information correct to September 1930, 1000/30. Map has been well used, small holes at fold intersections, grubby and pencil flight paths marked, cover good, £8.

Sheet 8, Midlands (South), air information correct to June 1929, 1500/29. Map is well used, slightly grubby with annotations and flight paths, bottom of map and lower margin very grubby, cover good and clean, £14.

Sheet 10, England, South-West, air information correct to April 1930, 2050/30. Map is well used but clean and sound with a few flight paths marked, cover nice and clean, with rear cover re-hinged. Unusual in having small hinged covers, £26.

Sheet 3, England, North East, air information correct to 1-6-34, 1500/34. Nice bright copy of map and cover, £32.

Sheet 3, England, North East, air information correct to 19-12-36, 7140/37. Nice bright copy of map and cover, £32.

Sheet 5, England, Midlands (N), air information correct to 12-6-36. Map very nice, slight stain to rear cover, otherwise covers nice and clean, £30.

Sheet 6, England, Eastern Counties (N), air information correct to 12-6-36, 1000/35. Nice bright copy of map and cover, £32.

Sheet 9, England, Eastern Counties (S), air information correct to 12-6-36, 100/36. Nice bright copy of map and cover, but with ever so slight staining, £32.

Long cover : purple layers
Sheet 5, England, Midlands (N), air information correct to 1939, 14260/39. Map very nice, cover dusty and slightly chipped, £22.

Sheet 8, Midlands (S), air information correct to 1939, 16100/38. Map and cover in good clean condition with a few extra airfields marked in red dots, £28.

Sheet 10, England, South West, air information correct to 28-2-38, 6700/38. Map nice and clean, cover clean but small triangle of card missing from three corners, £26.

Sheet 12, England, South East & London, air information correct to 30-7-37, 110025/37. Nice bright copy of map and cover, with a neat repair to lower right corner of front cover, £28.

Automobile Association and Royal Aero Club General Flying map
The same maps were also issued by the two above organisations, dissected into their own covers, and waterproof sprayed. All with brown layering. Not common.

Sheet 10 (OS Scottish sheets 6 and 5, Eastern and Western Highlands), magnetic variation 1936-7. Nice and clean, few flight paths marked, £28.

Sheet 11 (OS Scottish sheets 7 and 8, Scotland North and Northern Hebrides), magnetic variation 1936-7. Very bright clean copy, £32.
