Half-inch, England and Wales : Boxed sets
Ordnance Survey : Half-inch maps : Boxed set
Set of 40 maps, dissected on cloth in pale buff Stanford covers. Most sheets are first printings, usually from 1913-14, with a few outside these dates and five being reprints. No map is later than 1915. Thirty five maps have relief shown by layers, the others by hill shading.
Twenty four sheets are in excellent, as new condition; 11 sheets are in good bright condition (7 have very slight signs of damp damage, but no staining); 5 sheets are in good clean condition or better but as a group are more used than other sheets and might be slightly grubby in parts or have slightly grubby margins. Overall this is a nice bright set of maps, well above average.
The maps are in a purpose made brown leather case. This is one of the nicest cases we have offered, and has the original stitching, handle and map measuring wheel. The case is slightly scuffed with the two locks working, but lacking the key.
Sorry, this has been sold.
