Half-inch Ministry of Transport Road Maps : Scotland : Sets
Ministry of Transport Road Maps : Scotland
A set of 34 sheets, in wonderful condition, dissected and mounted on cloth in orange Ordnance Survey covers.
On a black and white half-inch base map, First class roads are in red, and Second class in green. Originally published with the start of road numbering in 1923, these maps were frequently updated to show the revised status of road classification.
Sheet lines are the same as the standard half-inch series. With index card.
All sheets except eight show the original 1922-23 road classification. The other eight sheets show the classification for 1927-28.
Sheets 5, 13, 16, 25, 33, and 34 have a 250/27 print code, whilst sheets 27 and 28 have a 500/27 print code.
All sheets are in very nice condition, the 1922-23 being almost as new with a very slightly faded spine, whilst the others have ever so slight wear to the covers, but are still way above average.
Sorry, but this has been sold.
