The text details thousands of civil and military map series and experimental maps using these diagrams. Of note, are the lists of tourist, district and special maps associated with each set of sheet lines. Appendices include a list of military map series (GSGS numbers etc), details of the various civil and military grids found on OS maps and a full bibliography.
