The lower margins have been very slightly trimmed with minimal loss of detail, not affecting the publication details in the lower right corners.

Both sets of maps are cloth backed, and quite 'stiff', so possibly on a thin card as well. All sheets are in a nice bright clean condition, though a few for England and Wales are very slightly dusty.

Both sets are held in a purpose made, contemporary maroon folder, with flaps at the bottom and sides that fold over across the maps; the top then folds down over all. The sides and bottom each have cloth tapes to tie together, securing the whole. Nice clean condition.

Index sheets for each series are pasted to the inside surfaces of the top and bottom covers.
