Railway Clearing House (RCH) maps

The Railway Clearing House calculated how much money railway companies owed each other for running services over each others' tracks. To help the hundreds of clerks involved, very detailed, often very large, hand coloured maps were produced; at first a private venture by John Airey, and later by the Railway Clearing House itself.

The maps are quite detailed, and show the various company lines in different colours. All are dissected on cloth, in dark, leather faced covers with gilt lettering.

A major RCH map collection was assembled, catalogued and described by the late David Garnett, and is now in Brunel University Library.

Sorry, but we have sold all of our RCH maps and are unlikely to have any more.
