1. The Imperial map of England and Wales according to the Ordnance Survey, with the latest additions; shewing clearly every feature of the country, railways and their stations, roads, canals, rivers, gentlemen's seats, etc. etc. On the scale of 4 mile to an inch, by John Bartholomew, F.R.G.S.

First published 1868.

Black and white with colour-washed county boundaries, issued in 16 sections, but designed to be mounted as a single map. Dissected in plain covers, folding to 7.25" wide by 11" tall. Overall in good clean condition, some sections are ever so slightly dusty, as are some covers, but a nice bright set of maps.
Sheets 1-15 with sheet 16 issued as three sheets. Sad original slip case.

Useful for late nineteenth century landscape and transport studies.

Size : 29” wide, by 22” tall.

Extent : Uxbridge, Chigwell, Hayes, Kenley, Woking.

Format : Folded in green card cover.

Condition : Map in nice bright condition. No rubbing to folds. Cover is good and clean, with cracked paper on inner spine. Spine is good and sound.

Notes : Inscribed inside cover 1887. Febry 1st.

Cartography : Blaisot .... rue de Rivoli 178. Coloured.

Size : 26” wide by 29” tall.

Extent : France, Corsica, England south of London.

Format : Dissected on cloth and folded in blue card cover.

Condition : Map in good bright condition, if ever so slightly faded in places. Cover is clean and basically sound, but spine chipped at top and hinges weak.

4. Cruchley's travelling railway map of England and Wales. (Map title).

Size : 18.5” wide by 22” tall.

Extent : England and Wales, Scotland to Hamilton.

Format : Dissected on cloth and folded in brown card cover.

Condition : Map in good clean and bright condition, with slight discolouring at the very top along the Scottish border, some panels starting to lift. Cover in good clean condition, originally purple (?) but faded to brown.

Size : 32” tall by 27” wide.

Extent : Scotland and just into England. Insets for Edinburgh, Glasgow, Glasgow and Edinburgh areas.

Format : Dissected on cloth and folded into maroon card cover.

Condition : Map in excellent condition, with two slight marks over the sea area and parts of the title text missing. Very nice map in good clean cover, with sign of where a label had been.

Format : Card covers.

Condition : Internally fresh and bright. Cover lightly stained and somewhat dull, but clean and quite sound.

Format : Cloth backed and folded into card cover.

Condition : Map in nice bright clean condition. Cover nice and clean, with paper backing missing from inside the spine.

Condition : Map in very nice bright and clean condition. Cover clean with chips to spine, top and bottom and small tears to spine. But sound.

Notes : Published by the Great Western, London and North-Eastern, London, Midland and Scottish, and Southern railways.
